Same issue here: Inventory threshold alerts not triggering

Adding to what Deja posted yesterday — we're seeing the exact same thing on our end. Low-stock alerts just... aren't firing. We've got 15 parts sitting below their configured thresholds and zero notifications in the past week.

Setup we've confirmed:

  • Threshold values are saved correctly in Settings > Inventory > Alerts
  • Notification recipients are assigned (including myself and our warehouse lead)
  • Parts are definitely below threshold — I can see the red indicator in the inventory list
  • Email/SMS delivery working normally for other notifications

We rely on these alerts to trigger our weekly restock orders, so this is creating a real operational gap. My team is manually checking inventory twice a day right now, which defeats the purpose of having automated alerts.

Has anyone heard back from support on this yet? Or found a workaround while it's being investigated?

  • in my experience the inventory alerts have always been flaky

we stopped relying on them months ago. built a simple report that runs every morning showing parts below threshold. dispatch prints it, warehouse checks it.

not elegant but it works. the automated alerts were giving us too many false negatives and the occasional false positive.

hotfix will probably help for a while but i'd set up a backup check regardless

  • Following up on my original post — the edit/save workaround Priya mentioned worked for 8 of our 12 affected parts. The other 4 are still not alerting even after the timestamp update.

Not sure what distinguishes them. They're all in the same category, same supplier, similar threshold values. Tried the edit twice on one of them and still nothing.

Has anyone else seen partial success with the workaround?

  • Deja — thanks for that detail. Partial success with the workaround suggests there's a second condition at play.

Can you check if those 4 parts have negative or zero quantity on hand? There's a separate edge case where alerts are suppressed for items at zero or below, which was originally by design (assumed obsolete/discontinued) but is being revisited.

If that's not it, I'll escalate to engineering with your account specifics — the pattern you're describing doesn't match what we documented.

  • That was it — 3 of the 4 are at zero quantity. Didn't realize that suppressed alerts entirely.

Fourth one had a threshold of 5 and quantity of 3, so not sure why that one's still stuck. I'll open a ticket for that outlier.

    Thanks for the quick response!
