iOS app crashes when opening large work orders — known issue?

Question

In my experience this started happening last week after the 3.3 update. Any work order with more than 10-15 photos or a long checklist (think full electrical inspection) crashes the app 90% of the time when I try to open it. Just black screen then back to home screen.

I've seen this before with other apps when they load everything into memory at once. Is this a known issue or do I need to do something on my end? Using iPhone 12, iOS 17.4, app version 3.3.1.

Right now I'm having to call dispatch to get job details read out to me which is not sustainable.

Art — 3.3.2 is now rolling out to the App Store. The memory management fix for large work orders is included.

Hi Art — happy to help, and thanks for the detailed report including your device and app versions. This is a known issue we're actively tracking. What's happening: The 3.3.1 release introduced a regression where work orders with large image sets or lengthy checklists exceed the memory buffer on older iOS devices during initial render. We're seeing this most frequently on iPhone 11-12 series. Immediate workaround: 1. Open the Settings tab in the mobile app 2. Toggle "Limit Photo Preload" to ON 3. Force-close and restart the app This defers full-resolution image loading until you explicitly tap a photo. Checklists will still load, but more gradually. We're targeting a hotfix (3.3.2) for early next week. I'll update this thread when it's live.
