What tools do you use alongside FieldPulse that aren't integrated yet?

hi all — quick question from the dispatch desk

we're running FieldPulse for scheduling and work orders but honestly there's still like 5 other things we're juggling in parallel. wondering if anyone else has this patchwork situation and what you're using

for us it's:

  • google sheets for parts inventory (i know i know)
  • whatsapp groups for tech-to-tech communication
  • a shared calendar in outlook for PTO and truck maintenance schedules
  • some random pdf editor for customer quotes that didn't come through FieldPulse

none of it talks to each other. every morning i'm copy-pasting between three windows

what's your stack look like. anything you wish would just connect already

  • Tyler, that's actually more common than you think — I used to do the exact same thing before we got our mobile situation stable. Pro tip: if you're on Android, Google Photos can auto-backup screenshots so at least you're not losing them when you clear storage. Not a fix, just damage control.

    Real tool I want to mention: thermal cameras for HVAC work. We generate reports in FLIR's software, then email PDFs separately, then manually attach reference in FieldPulse. Would love a direct integration but the camera companies don't play nice with field service platforms in general.

    Also using YouTube for training — we have a private channel with repair walkthroughs, and I link those in FieldPulse job notes when a junior tech is getting a call type they haven't seen. Works great but completely outside the system.

    On the original question — we've had success pushing Slack harder for dispatch instead of trying to force everything through FieldPulse notifications. The mobile notification reliability just isn't there for urgent stuff. I know that's not what FieldPulse wants to hear but it's reality in the field.
