What tools do you use alongside FieldPulse that aren't integrated yet?

hi all — quick question from the dispatch desk

we're running FieldPulse for scheduling and work orders but honestly there's still like 5 other things we're juggling in parallel. wondering if anyone else has this patchwork situation and what you're using

for us it's:

  • google sheets for parts inventory (i know i know)
  • whatsapp groups for tech-to-tech communication
  • a shared calendar in outlook for PTO and truck maintenance schedules
  • some random pdf editor for customer quotes that didn't come through FieldPulse

none of it talks to each other. every morning i'm copy-pasting between three windows

what's your stack look like. anything you wish would just connect already

  • We're paying for three systems that all claim to do scheduling.

FieldPulse for the actual dispatch. Deputy for time clock because the crew leads like the GPS verification on clock-in. And ServiceTitan still running in read-only mode because we haven't migrated three years of historical data and I'm not dealing with that audit headache.

Also QuickBooks Desktop. Not Online. Desktop. Because our accountant refuses to move.

The integration gap that actually hurts: actual route optimization with traffic. FieldPulse says they have it. They don't. We use Google Maps with multiple stops and someone just manually orders the day. Waste of time.

  • Heads up on this — YMMV but we've been testing Route4Me alongside FieldPulse and it's honestly not bad. Export the day's stops as CSV, upload, optimize, then manually reorder in FieldPulse dispatch view. Adds maybe 5 minutes but saves 30+ minutes of drive time on a dense route day.

Worth noting: we looked at building an API sync but Route4Me's webhook format is a mess and FieldPulse doesn't expose enough location data on their end to make it clean. So yeah, still manual.

Also re: the time clock thing — Deputy's geofencing is solid but the double-entry into payroll is painful. We're experimenting with Deputy as source of truth for hours and just pushing totals to FieldPulse for job costing visibility. Not pretty but it works.

  • 5 minutes per day is 25 minutes per week is 20 hours per year. That's half a person. Not acceptable.

But I'll look at Route4Me anyway. Thanks.
