FieldPulse 3.2 delivers one of our most requested capabilities: intelligent route optimization built directly into the Dispatch view. This is not a third-party integration. This is native functionality designed from the ground up to reduce drive time, cut fuel costs, and get your technicians to the right place at the right time.
What Is Route Optimization?
Route Optimization analyzes your day's scheduled work orders, technician locations, and job requirements to automatically generate the most efficient multi-stop routes. The system accounts for:
- Real-time traffic conditions and historical travel patterns
- Job time windows and customer availability constraints
- Technician skill sets and equipment requirements
- Service territories and priority levels
How It Works
Dispatchers access Route Optimization from the Dispatch Board by selecting one or more technicians and clicking Optimize Routes. The system presents an optimized sequence within seconds. Dispatchers retain full control — accept the suggestion, adjust individual stops, or regenerate with different parameters.
Technicians receive updated routes instantly in the FieldPulse Mobile App, including turn-by-turn navigation and real-time re-routing if conditions change.
Results from Early Access
Organizations in our early access program reported meaningful improvements:
- 18% reduction in average daily drive time
- 23% decrease in fuel consumption across field fleets
- 14% increase in jobs completed per technician per day
Availability and Requirements
Route Optimization is available immediately for all FieldPulse customers on the Professional and Enterprise plans. No additional configuration is required — the feature appears automatically in Dispatch view following the 3.2 update.
For detailed configuration guidance, refer to our 3.1 Release Notes and the updated Dispatch documentation.
We are excited to see how your teams leverage this capability. As always, your feedback shapes what we build next.
