Technician Performance Reports

FieldPulse provides structured reporting tools to evaluate individual technician productivity, job quality, and efficiency metrics. These reports enable managers to identify trends, compare performance across teams, and make data-informed staffing decisions.

Accessing Technician Performance Reports

To view performance data:

  1. Navigate to Reports in the main navigation menu
  2. Select Technician Performance from the report categories
  3. Choose your date range and filtering criteria
  4. Click Generate Report

Available Metrics

Reports include the following dimensions:

Report Configuration Options

Date Ranges

Select from predefined periods (Today, This Week, This Month, Last Quarter) or define a custom range. Data is available from the date of account creation forward.

Technician Grouping

Filter by:

  • Individual technician
  • Team or region (requires Teams configured in user settings)
  • Skill type or certification

Job Type Filters

Optionally restrict to specific service types, priority levels, or customer segments for targeted analysis.

Export and Scheduling

Generated reports can be:

  • Viewed on screen with sortable columns
  • Exported to CSV or PDF format
  • Scheduled for automatic delivery (see Advanced Reporting: Scheduled Report Delivery)

Interpreting the Data

Consider these factors when evaluating performance:

  • Job complexity varies by type; compare technicians within similar categories
  • Geographic coverage affects travel time and job density
  • Seasonal patterns may impact availability metrics
  • New technicians typically show lower initial completion rates

Limitations and Notes

Data accuracy depends on technicians updating work order status in real time. Jobs with status changes made retrospectively may show incorrect duration calculations. Photo and checklist compliance metrics require customer notification settings to be configured for survey collection.
