Since Thursday of last week, our QuickBooks Online connection has been terminating every 24 hours, necessitating manual re-authentication by an administrator with appropriate credentials.

It is worth noting that:

No configuration changes were made to either FieldPulse or QuickBooks Online prior to this behavior commencing

The disconnection occurs consistently at approximately 4:00 PM UTC daily

Our API usage has remained within documented rate limits

Refresh token rotation appears to be failing silently — no error notifications are generated

I have confirmed that our QuickBooks Online subscription is active and that third-party app permissions remain granted. The re-authentication flow completes successfully each time, suggesting the OAuth consent is not being revoked at the source.

Is this a known issue with the QuickBooks integration connector? We are evaluating whether to implement a manual token refresh workflow via API, but this would introduce operational overhead we had not anticipated.

Our current environment: FieldPulse 3.3.1, QuickBooks Online Plus, SSO not enabled for the integration account.

User invite emails not delivering — spam folder checked

I have confirmed that user invitation emails are not being delivered to recipients' inboxes. I have verified the following:

The email addresses are valid and properly formatted

Recipients have checked spam/junk folders — no emails present

Our corporate mail gateway shows no rejected or quarantined messages from FieldPulse

Invitations sent to addresses within our domain and external domains (Gmail, Outlook 365) are equally affected

This issue began on 2026-04-11. Prior to this date, invitations were delivered successfully. I can reproduce this consistently across multiple attempts.

Our organization has 47 pending invites that must be sent before the end of this week. I require either a resolution or a manual workaround to generate invitation links directly.

Account ID: FP-ENT-2847-8812

Please advise on next steps.

Report export timing out for large date ranges — workaround?

I have confirmed that the Work Order Summary Report is consistently timing out when attempting to export date ranges exceeding 90 days. This behavior is reproducible across multiple browsers (Chrome 124.0.6367.78, Firefox 125.0.3) and occurs for users with both Admin and Manager roles.

Environment Details:

Account: Enterprise Plan (500+ active technicians)

Approximate work order volume: 12,000–15,000 records per month

Target date range: January 1, 2025 – March 31, 2025 (Q1 reporting)

Error observed: "Request timed out" after ~120 seconds; HTTP 504 returned

Steps to Reproduce:

Navigate to Reports → Work Order Summary

Set Date Range to Custom: 2025-01-01 to 2025-03-31

Click Export to CSV

Observe timeout after approximately 2 minutes

I have verified that smaller date ranges (30 days) complete successfully in approximately 15 seconds. The issue appears to be related to the volume of data being processed rather than a specific filter or parameter.

From a governance perspective, we require quarterly exports for internal audit compliance. I am seeking either:

A supported workaround for bulk export (e.g., API-based retrieval with pagination)

Confirmation of known limitations and recommended maximum date ranges

Timeline for resolution if this is identified as a platform defect

I have reviewed the workaround article for API pagination but would prefer to confirm whether this is the recommended approach before developing a custom solution.

Inventory valuation reporting — FIFO or average cost?

I am preparing our inventory configuration for deployment and require clarification on the cost accounting methodology employed by FieldPulse.

Specifically:

Does the Inventory Reporting module utilize First-In-First-Out (FIFO) or weighted average cost methodology for valuation?

If FIFO is used, how does the system handle part returns that were drawn from different cost layers?

For the Inventory Valuation Report (referenced in documentation as help-036), what is the exact calculation logic applied?

We've got a bunch of parts in our inventory that are discontinued by the manufacturer. Can't get them anymore, but we still have historical jobs where these parts were used. Don't want to delete them from the system since that breaks the record chain, but I also don't want them showing up as available when techs are adding parts to jobs.

Right now I'm just renaming them with "OBSOLETE -
" prefix, but that's hacky and techs still occasionally grab them by mistake. What I really want is a way to mark parts as inactive/archived so they stay in the database for historical reference but get hidden from active selection.

Pro tip: This matters for warranty tracking too. If a customer calls back on a 3-year-old install and you deleted the part number, you're flying blind on what was actually used.

Is there a proper way to handle this in FieldPulse? Looked through the inventory settings but didn't spot anything obvious.

Technician location tracking not updating in dispatch view

hey having an issue with the map view showing tech locations. their dots havent moved in like 20 mins even though i know they're driving between jobs. is this a known thing or do i need to check something on my end. using chrome if that matters. refresh didnt help

We've got guys on iPhones and a couple guys with iPad Minis we want to use for the bigger screen when getting customer signatures.

The question is — are there any actual differences in how signature capture works between phone and tablet? One of my guys said he tried it in landscape and the signature box looked weird but idk if that was user error or what.

I'm so excited to be posting here — I just started as a Service Coordinator at my company about three weeks ago, and I've been tasked with getting our FieldPulse account set up properly for our team. I've been going through all the settings and trying to make everything look professional for our customers!

So far I've managed to get our technician schedules organized and I've been learning how to dispatch jobs, which has been going pretty well thanks to the help from my supervisor. But now I'm working on the customer-facing side of things, and I realized that when I set up a test customer notification (I sent one to my personal phone to see what it looks like), it has the FieldPulse logo at the top instead of our company logo.

I was wondering if there's a way to change that? I looked through the settings menu but I might have missed it — there are so many options! I want our customers to see our branding when they get the SMS and email notifications about their appointments, not the FieldPulse branding. It would look so much more professional that way, and I think it would help our customers recognize us immediately.

Has anyone done this before? Is it even possible? I'm not sure if this is something that requires a certain type of account or if it's available for everyone. Any help would be so appreciated! Thank you so much in advance!!!

Nested reply: Android notification fix didn't work for Samsung devices

hey so i saw the fix in the other thread about android notifications

tried it on my samsung galaxy s23 and still nothing

went into settings > apps > fieldpulse > notifications and everything looks enabled

even turned off battery optimization like the post said

but im still not getting the push when dispatch assigns me jobs

idk if samsung does something different with their one ui thing

anyone else on samsung having this problem or am i just unlucky lol

Admin vs Manager role — what's the difference?

Hi everyone! I'm really sorry if this is a silly question, but I've been going through the setup process for our team and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the different permission levels. I'm the new office manager at a small HVAC company (we have about 12 technicians and 3 dispatchers), and I've been tasked with getting everyone set up in FieldPulse.

I've been reading through the documentation, and I keep seeing "Admin" and "Manager" roles mentioned, but I'm having trouble understanding exactly what the difference is between them? Like, if I want our lead dispatcher to be able to add new technicians but not be able to change billing settings or export all our data, which role would that be? And can a Manager still see all the reports, or is that Admin-only?

I tried looking at the user settings screen, but it seems like there's a lot of overlap and I'm worried about giving people too much access, especially since we're still learning the system and I don't want anyone to accidentally delete something important. We've had some issues in the past with our old system where people could see things they shouldn't have been able to see, so I'm being extra careful this time.

Any help would be so appreciated! I've already learned so much from this community just by reading through other posts. Thank you so much in advance!

Biometric login not prompting consistently

Running into an issue with biometric login on our field team iPhones. The Manager role permits editing of all technicians, which exceeds our requirements. The Dispatcher role does not appear to support hierarchical scoping by team or region.

Please confirm whether the following configuration is achievable:

View permission: All technicians (read-only visibility across organization)

Edit permission: Technicians assigned to the dispatcher's specific team or region only

I have confirmed that the Team field is populated for all technician records. I am operating on FieldPulse version 3.2.1.

Is this achievable through native configuration, or does it require a custom role configuration that must be escalated to FieldPulse support?

Serialized equipment tracking within inventory

We are evaluating FieldPulse for our field service operations, and a critical requirement from our compliance and warranty management perspective is the ability to track individual serialized equipment units within our inventory system.

From a governance perspective, we require the following capabilities:

Unique serial number assignment per physical unit at time of receipt

Association of specific serial numbers to individual work orders

Full chain of custody from warehouse through installation and return

Audit trail for warranty claims and regulatory inspection

Our current understanding is that FieldPulse inventory management operates at the SKU level. It is worth noting that this would be insufficient for our purposes, as we must distinguish, for example, between "two units of Model X pump" and "Unit SN-2026-0015847 and Unit SN-2026-0015848 of Model X pump."

Has any organization successfully implemented serialized equipment tracking within FieldPulse? If so, what is the recommended configuration approach? Alternatively, is there an established integration pattern with third-party asset management systems that preserves data integrity for audit purposes?

Thank you for your guidance on this matter.

Jobs that breached SLA last month — report available?

The team is preparing our Q1 operational review, and we need to identify which jobs breached SLA commitments during January. From a governance perspective, this is critical for both internal accountability and our client retention discussions.

I can see the Work Order Summary Report and Technician Performance Report, but neither appears to surface SLA breach data directly. Is there a dedicated SLA compliance report, or should I be approaching this through custom filtering?

It is worth noting that we have custom SLA rules configured per service tier, so any solution would need to respect those configurations rather than default timing assumptions.

Filter work order report by job type?

Need to break out our work order reports by job type for monthly review. Starting to notice some gaps between the two experiences and wanted to flag them for folks making device decisions.

Here's what I've tracked so far:

Works on both, no issues:
- Work order viewing and updating
- Photo capture and annotation
- Signature capture
- Offline mode sync
- GPS check-in/check-out

Tablet-only or tablet-works-better:
- Split-screen view on iPad — can have work order open alongside maps or PDF manual. Huge time-saver.
- Photo annotation precision — drawing boxes/arrows with Apple Pencil vs finger on phone is night and day
- Checklist form layout — longer forms don't require as much scrolling, can see full sections at once

Phone-only or phone-works-better:
- Barcode scanning via camera — feels faster and more natural on phone, less awkward positioning
- One-handed operation — obvious, but updating status while carrying gear matters
- Pocket-friendly quick checks — pulling phone to confirm next job vs unzipping tablet case

Actual gaps (phone missing entirely):
- Landscape orientation lock on iPhone — app forces portrait, which is annoying when mounted in vehicle
- External keyboard support — Bluetooth keyboard pairs but shortcuts don't work on phone app

Unclear if it's missing or I'm missing something:
- Customer portal preview — thought I saw this mentioned for tablet but can't find it

Anyone else doing the dual-device dance? What am I missing? Especially curious if Android tablets have different gaps than iPad.
